Qatar To Move Into Field of Eight

With Sunday's victory over Indonesia 86-45, Qatar is guaranteed to enter the field of (8) on Tuesday, irregardlous of their outcome with Kazakhstan on Monday. Once again, Qatar started fast, holding Indonesia without a point for the first (4) minutes of the game. Qatar finished the game, shooting 52% from the field while holding Indonesia to 33%. Qatar will play Kasakhstan at 1:30pm Monday afternoon (11:30pm Sunday evening Wisconsin time). The game will be televised.

Some interesting sidenotes on this tournament. The languages flying around as you might imagine are quite interesting. Yesterday at my press conference following the game, my interview was easy, with my game statements in English being translated into Japanese. The Indonesia coach does not speak English so needed to have his own interpreter. When he made his game statements, his interpreter had to translate into English and then it had to be translated again into Japanese for the reporters. Another interesting note is that the vehicles in Japan, like Britian have the steering wheels on the opposite side, thus they drive down the opposite side of the street.
